RCIA

Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic Church?

The Church offers a process for discerning how God might be calling you to explore the Catholic faith. We call this the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), which is based on an ancient tradition by which men and women join the Church. This series is for anyone who is not baptized, baptized in a tradition other than Catholicism or baptized Catholic but not confirmed.

The RCIA process is unique for each person, depending on their background and experience with the faith.  The time of preparation includes prayer, Scripture, formal instruction in the faith, and the community aspects of following Jesus.

Children and Youth seeking baptism or full initiation into the Catholic Church are invited to a similar RCIA process that meets the unique catechetical needs of children and youth.

Learn more about the RCIA process at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) website or consider the Three Reasons to be Catholic.
